Okay, I was wrong.

Asking a professor to write a rec isn't as bad as waiting for them to actually freaking write it. .___. How long do you wait before you write them an email saying "Hey, did you recieve the materials? Are you still going to write this?"
Also, I sent off my application fee check 10 days ago and the university hasn't updated my account to say they've gotten it yet. Same thing with the transcript I mailed them. When do I start freaking out and calling them to see if it arrived? Or sending them a new one? WHAT IS THE PROPER WAY TO FREAK OUT ABOUT APPS? IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME NOW.
